Junior Buyer

Role: Junior Buyer (Maternity Cover)
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000

Our client is one of the leading players in the ambient food sector, with awards and recognition for its successes. They are looking to bring into the business a graduate calibre candidate who ideally has spent some time in industry and looking for some exposure in a fantastic organisation. This role is covering a maternity and will be around 9-12months in duration.

Within the role you will be assist the procurement function with stock management and replenishment to meet production requirements and take an active role in supplier management. This will include dealing internally and externally to manage ordering and stock levels throughout the business. Each function will rely heavily on you to provide timely reporting on weekly and monthly purchasing and after time being able to comment and advise on trends and future challenges.

With all of this in mind it will be important you have a high level of numeracy skill, confidence and be a strong communicator. We are looking for candidate who have some procurement experience ideally in industry, whether that be a sandwich placement, or a first role.
