The company

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading, well-known food manufacturer which is part of a large national group. Products are manufactured to the highest quality and are supplied into all the major UK retailers under both own brand and private label.

The job

As Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System and GMP practices incorporating retailer COPs plus manage the supplier & raw material approval process including performance monitoring.

Duties:

• Manage the company supplier database
• Maintain company and customer specifications
• Assist with the implementation of the QMS in line with BRC standards
• Carry out gap analysis on food safety standards and customer policies
• Assist the HACCP team with documentation
• Be aware of changes to legislation and customer requirements ensuring this is communicated and actioned across the site

Your experience

You will be educated to a degree level in a food science, food safety, food technology or related discipline plus have strong food industry technical experience. A product background within bakery or similar food products would be desirable.

You will have excellent knowledge of BRC Global Food Standards, retailer COPs (ideally Tesco & M&S) and internal auditing processes plus be Food Safety and HACCP qualified.

The Technical Services Manager job is based in West Yorkshire and is paying £35,000 - £38,000 pro rata dependant on your skills and experience.
