This is an exciting time to join a progressive food business as they accelerate their expansion plans and build a new facility in Essex.

As General Manager you will lead the commissioning of this new food factory and set the values and standards to be met. Working alongside the VP of Operations, you will develop the strategy for the new facility.

This is an entrepreneurial high-end food business in a rapidly growing food category with plans to expand across the UK, therefore for the right individual, there is substantial opportunity for career progression.

As Site Leader, you will have knowledge of World Class Manufacturing, with extensive knowledge of CI/Lean tools and have lead improvement projects and built high performing teams. Ideally you will be Black Belt or equivalent qualified.

The values of this business require passion, energy, intellect and professionalism, with the ability to develop a culture of high standards and ethics.

The people piece is significant in this role, you will build a strong Site Leadership Team with the ability to coach and develop individuals to achieve the best performance.

The ideal candidate will come from food manufacturing, or supply chain within a world class environment, ideally a Graduate, and have the skills to adapt those learnings into an entrepreneurial culture. This role will give you freedom to act and a broad remit.

Experience of managing supply chain centres or commissioning of new food production lines and project management would be a distinctive advantage, we need someone who can hit the ground running.
