About the role
You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Chefly Kitchen to ensure standards and quality are maintained. You will be a leading member of our operations team and reporting directly to the board of directors.
You will oversee production operations and liaise with the distribution team, Product development team, suppliers, HR, operations team and the founders to ensure you can reach targets in line with our expansion goals.
You will oversee and implement our evolving and rotating menu. You will be in charge of production planning and in control of all food production processes and systems.
You will oversee the production of our entire Chefly range and ensure they are produced efficiently, cost effectively and to the highest standards while following the company’s stringent food safety standards.
You will manage the production team and ensure that the team is engaged, developing, learning and aligned with the Chefly vision.
- Health and safety and food safety compliance
Organise, implement, oversee and monitor all production systems and processes
Implement a quality control programme
Be responsible for the kitchen commercials (revenue and profits, staff costs, food costs, wastage)
Organise workflow to ensure that the production is cost effective, keeping on top of the stock and ordering system ensuring consistency and performing reviews
Work to set the quality standards and ensure output meets internal quality standards and that due diligence is applied at all times to the manufacture and packaging of the product
Establish and enforce health and safety standards, procedures and precautions
Manage/oversee a production team of up to 15 people as well managing a supervisory team with a focus on team building and living the company values
Work closely with the development team to implement and train for new recipes
Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment and approve maintenance work, purchase of equipment etc.
Continuously monitor KPI’s to ensure targets are met.
- Demonstrate experience in food production and ideally prepared meals operations.
High interest in development and training
Strong planning and organisational skills
Clear & Concise communication
Strong knowledge of HACCP & COSHH etc
Highly computer literate with good knowledge of the GSuite platform.
