Overview

This is a vital role, with a global blue-chip food manufacturer. Part of the central Food Safety and Quality team, the Regional Auditor plays a critical part in the evaluation and performance of the company’s manufacturing sites and their suppliers.

The Role

• Support the implementation of the regional Quality and Food Safety strategic plan
• Conduct audits and carry out assessments of suppliers, service providers and internal sites to a prescribed schedule and in line with business requirements
• Work towards integration, standardisation and alignment to deliver consistent standards of quality and food safety across the business
• Audit effective implementation of regional procedures and standards
• Evaluate relevant risks and highlight areas of concern where the business may be implicated or affected
• Verify the effectiveness of SQSE Management Systems
• Review completion of closeout of issues raised and the commitment to maintain beneficial business relationships
• Communicate and drive action relating to poor audit performance
• Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and awareness through external benchmarking, networking and horizon scanning
• Develop and maintains a high level of expertise and share this with colleagues and other functions as appropriate

The Candidate

• Formal auditing qualification (ISO Lead Auditor or BRC)
• HACCP (Level 4)
• Food Safety (Level 4)
• Challenging & inquisitive

• Strong team player

• Flexible, self-motivated & driven
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to respond and interact with both internal & external stakeholders at all levels
• Willing to travel and stay away from home
