The company

You will be working for an extremely successful, BRC AA Graded food manufacturer which is dedicated to supplying high quality products combined with exceptional service, enabling their food manufacturing customers to both innovate and increase productivity without compromising on quality.

The job

As QA Technician you will assist and support the QA Supervisor in liaising with all departments to ensure products and services are supplied within agreed timescales, technical/quality standards and legal compliance.

You will also assist in the review, development and improvement of the site QMS system, ensuring it is fully up to date and ensure any changes to products, equipment and services are reflected within the system and the HACCP plan.

You will work closely with the Production, Maintenance, Purchasing, Sales and Development teams to achieve site business objectives and maintain accurate records of all quality paperwork.

Your experience

To be considered for the QA Technician job, you will be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or related food discipline and/or possess previous quality assurance or technical experience in the food manufacturing industry – this could be from a University placement or previous role.

You will have a good understanding of food safety compliance procedures, be highly organised, flexible and be able to plan your work effectively plus be IT literate.

Additional qualifications such as HACCP, Food Safety and Food Hygiene would be highly desirable.

The QA Technician job is based in the North West region and is paying £18,000 - £22,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday (8 am – 4.30 pm) and Fridays (7.30 am – 3 pm).
