Interim Project Manager

6 month fixed term employment

Ashbury Labelling are looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage the transition of the technical compliance service for a major UK retailer from their current TSP (technical service provider) to Ashbury

The retailer outsources all its own brand product compliance management to a third party and this service will move to Ashbury from March 2021.  As TSP, Ashbury will be responsible for all technical and regulatory compliance of all the retailers’ own brand information.

Whilst the project has already been initiated, you will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing the project successfully.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing the project’s scope and goals
  • Planning and scheduling project timelines
  • Coordinating project resource and team members (TUPE may apply)
  • Quality assurance
  • Carrying out risk assessment
  • Managing project administration, including all documentation
  • Meeting budgetary objectives
  • Reporting regularly to senior management
  • Communication with all stakeholders
  • Managing client relationships
  • Tracking project performance
  • Project evaluations and results measurement

  • Knowledge of a typical food retailers own product development process
  • Understanding of the general requirements of food law, labelling and product management in relation to the concept of due diligence defence and what systems a retailer needs to put into operation
  • Ideally, experience of working in a retailer environment and delivering a product from concept to launch including responsibility for the technical and regulatory aspects including specifications

 

Location of the role

The role will be home-based but with some travel to the retailer HQ on a regular basis potentially required and occasional travel to meet Ashbury stakeholders. All subject to Lockdown rules.
