This a new role within a hugely innovative, newcomer in the food industry!
This is a unique an exciting role working for a high growth VC backed food business working at the leading edge of their particular niche and growing sector. The business is growing at a rapid rate, so this role isn't for the faint hearted!
This is a brand new role delivering the sourcing strategy which is hugely innovation led. As Procurement Manager you'll be a senior member of a small yet ambitious team leading the relationship with 3rd party manufacturers ensuring their products are a key part of suppliers' agendas. You will actively source new suppliers and strengthen existing relationships managing negotiations and contract agreements to ensure they can deliver on their growing innovation pipeline. Working very closely with internal stakeholders driving margin improvement on existing products and working with external partners to source out a mutually beneficial partnership moving forward.
They are leading the category in terms of product, and they need someone with real grit and determination to ensure they maintain this position. Candidates will be degree educated and have strong procurement experience dealing with third party manufacturers (not necessarily food). You'll need experience of working in a heavily led NPD environment and experience of managing 3rd party suppliers.
