The job

This is a brand new position where you will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes comply with food safety, legality and quality requirements through all stages of the production process, to ensure customers receive only the highest quality product.

• Monitor quality of incoming goods including raw materials and packaging
• Ensure products comply with company, customer and legislative requirements
• Develop, maintain, and promote the QA culture through auditing, training and development of operations staff
• Assist in developing new manufacturing processes to maintain and increase efficiency and high product quality standards
• Devise and coordinate internal audits, GMP and hygiene audits
• Verify production paperwork to ensure they are completed correctly
• Be responsible for overseeing the cleaning of food production equipment

Your experience

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy plus the ambition to drive quality assurance and food safety standards.

You will be educated to a degree level within a food science, food technology, food safety or other closely related discipline plus have solid (at least 2-3 years) experience working in a QA or technical role within food and/or beverage manufacturing.

The ability and confidence to work independently when required is also essential.

Experience working in a high care environment would be an advantage and any additional Food Safety, Food Hygiene and/or HACCP qualifications would also be beneficial!

The Quality Assurance Technologist job is based in the Surrey / Hampshire region and is paying up to £30,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.

The working hours are Monday to Friday.
