We are recruiting for a talented Senior Buyer who has previous experience in a chilled Food Manufacturing environment. The role is with a very entrepreneurial food manufacturer who are seeking to recruit a Senior Buyer who wants to further develop their career, this is a brand-new role and real opportunity to make a difference.

The Role:

• Buying / Procurement
• Supply
• Cost
• Developing the team and the systems to sustain them through their current growth and beyond

As Senior Buyer , working directly with the MD you will be able to shape and review all procurement strategy across the business including identifying cost savings and efficiencies. In addition, you will ensure that strategic material and planning processes are in place to ensure that orders are fulfilled.

As well as this, you will lead contract negotiations for all raw material and packaging contracts and manage relationships. A hands-on role it will be up to you to build a small team and take the department to the next level.

The Candidate:

• Previous Procurement and supply management (CIPS qualification preferred)
• Food Manufacturing background ideally chilled ingredients , sauces , protein & packaging
• Experience of improving and developing systems

You will have passion for food and manufacturing and the ability to take the role and build relationships with suppliers.

Be a team player, proactive, pragmatic and results driven – you’ll settle in the business perfectly.
