This is an exciting General Manager opportunity at a leading transport and logistics company based in Cambridgeshire. Reporting into the Site Director you will be responsible for the full operational function which covers both the transport and logistics teams in a fast-paced environment.

A key part of your position will be to motivate you team to drive performance through training and effective methods of management. You will also have control of staff levels and have the responsibility of handling this in line with the company budgets.

You will need to ensure all the current processes are completed effectively and you will need to promote a continuous improvement culture and implement new processes to drive performance.

Ideal Candidate:
*Experience in a senior operations position in a transport or logistics company.
*Capable of working under pressure and delivering a high level of performance.
*A strong leader to lead from the front.
*Proactive rather than reactive to resolve issues from arising.
*Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers.
