The Company

Are you an experienced Hygiene Manager who is dedicated to achieving the highest levels of food safety in a fast paced manufacturing environment? This is an excellent chance to enhance your skills with this chilled food business who prides itself on quality and service and join them as a Hygiene Manager to uphold their high standards on their night shift.

The Role

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you’ll take principle accountability for the management of hygiene systems and standards, ensuring all company and customer policies are complied with across the site including, HACCP, COSSH and BRC. You’ll be reviewing and updating procedures in line with the latest food legislation and regulations, promoting best practice and driving continuous improvements throughout the department. You’ll lead and motivate your team to maintain and develop the factory’s cleaning programmes according to set KPIs, guaranteeing products are manufactured safely every time whilst liaising with Technical teams and Engineers to implement improvements to site efficiency. In addition you’ll also be in regular contact with Production teams where you’ll communicate the results of hygiene audits and tests, investigate any non-conformances and provide solutions to ensure the smooth running of the factory.

The hours are 4pm to midnight.

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced hygiene professional who has worked in a chilled food manufacturing environment where you have acquired a proven track record of maintaining the best hygiene standards. A strong working knowledge of food hygiene including COSHH and BRC requirements is essential along with experience of maintaining hygiene systems and coordinating audits. You will have excellent people management and communication skills as you will be instructing your team to achieve the highest standards whilst dealing confidently with customers and internal colleagues on a regular basis. First class organisation skills as well as an analytical and logical approach are also key for success in this role, and you’ll also need to have a good level of IT literacy.
