Having secured a multi-million pound investment fund, this award winning plant based food business is building a team to work in their brand new, still being built, state of the art Innovation Centre in West London. The R&D Scientist will be integral to their continued success.

Relatively young, considering the plaudits and accolades their winning, our client seeks an R&D Scientist to join a small yet high achieving team. They're not your average food business. For one, they're working with plant-based products for meat lovers who want an alternative without the lecture. Secondly, they don't hang about… I already said the team was small, because the company is young, so you are joining them at the perfect time. In time to make a difference, a notable contribution and an impact in a category that isn't a trend anymore, it's a movement!

As the R&D Scientist you'll come with the relevant qualifications of course (Masters in Food Science, Chemistry or Engineering. Maybe even a PHD) and a deep-rooted love for plant-based food design (pun intended). Experience in this area, researching food development is key as you'll take the lead here. Working with a cracking team and reporting to the Head of Innovation in a shiny new Innovation Centre, you'll want for nothing. Everything is being set-up to afford you the chance to make waves in this ever-growing category, like no-where else.

You'll lead on quality, texture, taste as you partner with Universities, industry experts and consultants as you drive laboratory experiments developing new applications for plant-based proteins. Whilst you do this, you and the team keep your eyes peeled for market trends as you direct the company's innovation strategy (there's expenses and a budget for this).
