About Our Client

Our client is an ambient business supplying high-quality products into the UK retail market, foodservice and manufacturing businesses.

Due to continuous business growth, they are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to be first point of contact for UK customers and to be able to assist the Technical Director on supplier audits.



About the Job

Within in this role you will manage a technical team of between 1 and 7 people depending on your management experience, you will provide technical information as and when required to customers, you will drive the technical agenda and vision for the business. You will ensure that all products are in line with customer codes of practice and compliant with all technical requirements. Products are manufactured outside of the UK so you will be required to travel abroad to audit the supply base.



The Ideal Candidate

You will be a food technology/food science graduate with a wealth of technical experience within food manufacturing. You will have a proven track record of working in a Technical Manager position. Ideally, you will have experience of supplying own-label and branded products to retailers. You will be a strong leader and have experience of managing a team. You will have your lead auditor qualification, HACCP and Food safety qualification.

You must be able to travel abroad as and when required.
