Our client is a market-leading for importing Fresh Produce from across the globe into the UK. A business that prides themselves on maintaining strong relationships with their suppliers, whilst ensuring quality, trace-ability and fairness are at the forefront of what they are doing.

About the Job

As Logistics Manager you will be responsible for the planning and movement of produce from across the globe into the UK. You will liaise with third party hauliers to ensure smooth, efficient and timely movement of product is maintained. With the fast-paced nature of Fresh Produce, you must be both reactive and proactive, being able to quickly make decisions to ensure no issues arise. You will liaise with the further logistic teams abroad.

The Ideal Candidate

You must have a proven track record as a Logistics Manager, ideally in Fresh Produce or FMCG and having a proven track record dealing with Third Party Hauliers. Having built good relationships with these individuals, successful candidates will be able to join the business and hit the ground running. The ideal candidate must be adaptive and be able to make decisions with no time to spare. Individuals must be commercially minded, ensure cost-effective methods are used at all times.
