About Our Client

Our client is a large importer of fresh produce into retail, wholesale markets and foodservice. Due to an up and coming retirement, they are looking to strengthen their Technical team with the appointment of Food Safety and Quality Assurance Officer to cover their UK operations.



About the Job

The role will be part of the Group Health and Safety team providing a specialist support function, primarily to wholesale and foodservice divisions. Responsibilities will cover compliance with food safety legislation, development and maintenance of site HACCP studies and quality management systems and the achievement and retention of third party certification for nominated sites.



The Ideal Candidate



We are looking for a strong technical person with has previous experience of working in the fresh produce sector, you will have experience of working with BRCGS Standards, HACCP level 3 and Food safety level 3. Good working knowledge of interpreting UK and EU legislation. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build working relationships and to communicate effectively both written and verbally. A full UK driving licence is required as you will be required to travel.
