Senior Product Developer / NPD Manager - Brand

The Company

With a goal to delight customers and consumers time and time again, this established food brand are the market leaders in their innovative product category. They are now seeking a dedicated Senior Product developer to join their brand team, helping them deliver amazing new products to their discerning fan base.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Food, you will be a key player in developing and launching new products that are in line with business values as well as key consumer trends.

With a team of Development Chefs and Technologists to drive product success, you will take responsibility from concept stage through to product launch. As well as maintaining the integrity of the brand, you will champion quality, challenge feasibility and ensure product consistency. You will be managing multiple projects and the critical paths for new ranges, as well as being proactive with EPD plans.

Working cross-functionally you will drive excellence throughout the concept to launch process, liaising with internal teams when changes and improvements need to be implemented. You will work closely with the leadership and the brand team to ensure NPD projects are in line with commercial and business strategy, as well as brand goals.

The Person

This broad role would suit a confident and focussed Senior Product Developer, NPD or Process Manager with a true passion for innovation and food values. You will possess superb attention to detail, the ability to deliver complex projects and a good understanding of how to develop successful products for a food brand. Ideally you will have worked for a recognised brand, thrive in a fast paced environment and have the confidence as well as the credibility to make an impact on the senior leadership team. Team management experience is desirable.

You’ll have worked in a similar position where you have led a small team and launched new products to market as well as improved product performance. This will have given you a solid understanding of managing NPD projects, product launch procedures and coordinating product trials. A creative and proactive approach along with first class project management, communication, leadership and influencing skills are essential for achieving results in this aspirational food business.
