A newly created role within a large, multi-site, food manufacturing business.

My client is a large, progressive food manufacturing business supplying. They supply ready meals to all of the major retailers. They are an award winning business with a strong reputation for innovation and its first to market products.

This is a newly created role within a well respected procurement function and they are looking for a Category Purchasing Manager to be responsible for all Logistics and IT spend across a multi-site operation. This is a large spend category managing a complex supply base and tough internal stakeholders in this award winning business.

Candidates will need to have strong strategic sourcing experience and real evidence of delivery in challenging environment. Ideally with a background within an FMCG multi-site operation, you will need excellent experience in commercial negotiations, supply base management and market forecasts. This role offers fantastic opportunities for future progression for candidates who have strong influencing and project management skills and are hugely motivated.

The ideal candidate will come from a solid procurement background and will have, strong influencing skills, be a highly skilled purchaser and negotiator, have strong project management skills and be highly motivated.
