Planned Maintenance teams at McCormick

Planned Maintenance teams operate at all levels within our supply chain organization: leading the operational delivery via teams of plant technicians through to setting the maintenance strategy at a plant or regional level.

They are responsible for driving reliability in our plant operations, ensuring a continual focus on people and Food Safety through all engineering activities, as well as leading teams of technicians and managing budgets effectively.

We are looking for a variety of maintenance professionals who are eager to help us build our strength in planned maintenance, develop their careers and be based in our EMEA locations.

Our planned maintenance strategy is a core pillar within McCormick’s Journey to Excellence supply chain programme.

Key characteristics needed to be successful within our team are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent related qualifications
  • Demonstratable working experience in Manufacturing operations.
  • Experience and fluency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and PM practices.
  • Background in mature TPM organization preferred.
  • Experience in Food Processing preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to take a strategic view of a business, formulate potential improvements, communicate them effectively and translate them into realistic projects.
  • Ability to rapidly change and adapt in response to market, customer, or strategy.
  • Ability to develop action plans, obtain or assign resources, and align day-to-day processes to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ability to lead & influence people and drive change effectively without formal authority levels
  • Potential for future leadership, either in Maintenance or in other positions such as operations, supply chain, project engineering.

Planned Maintenance Pillar:

The Planned Maintenance Pillar works to drive high reliability and maintain optimal equipment and process conditions. It will achieve this through building, and continuously improving, maintenance processes as well as capability and ownership with the front-line teams. Specific tools and systems will be deployed: Criticality analysis, Breakdown analysis, Time and Condition based Maintenance Systems, Spare parts inventory systems, Technician and Operator capability building, and more.  To this end, the Planned Maintenance Pillar supports McCormick's customers and consumers by ensuring there are no interruptions in the production process.
