Job Details

innocent started with a simple mission: to make drinks that make it easy to do yourself some good. In 1999 we concocted a few smoothies in our kitchen and tested them on people at a music festival; today we’re blending every type of fruit & veg under the sun and selling drinks right across Europe. We have great ambitions: to show the world that you can build a successful business that cares about more than just profit, and to leave things better than we find them. We’re proud to call ourselves Europe’s favourite little healthy drinks company, but we’re still growing. And that means we need more brilliant people who share our ambition, to join in with the next, most exciting, part of our story.

what you'll be doing

We’re looking for a great Food Safety and emerging risks manager to join our technical team to help us keep our drinks tasty, safe & legal.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see how our delicious drinks are made and get right into the technical detail behind them.  You’ll be a part of our thriving cross functional Technical Team, ensuring consistently high standards for our products, at all times. You’ll have direct responsibility for managing & improving the emerging risks company program. You will be responsible for overseeing and when necessary improving our food safety and microbiological standards of our range of product formats and given that you’re right at the front end of our supply chain, every problem you solve helps to ensure that every innocent consumer has a great drinking experience.

You’ll be based in the UK and be responsible for managing relationships internally and externally. You will be working on core technical activities such as data analysis and investigation, reporting, managing relevant day to day technical food safety issues and emerging risks. You will be bringing the outside in by representing innocent in relevant external bodies but also keeping abreast with any relevant regulatory and food industry changes.

There will be new product launches, and you’ll play your part, ensuring we are ready to launch. You will be a critical member of the Central Technical team responsible for the innocent quality management system (QMS) – which is the foundation of our due diligence and you will also have a responsibility to inform and train the rest of the supply chain on matters related to general food safety and emerging risks.

you'll have

• a food Technology/Microbiology/Chemistry/Science degree with experience in the food industry • food hygiene, food safety and microbiology understanding with strong risk assessment experience • end to end supply chain knowledge and the confidence to challenge our fruit processors, blenders, or manufacturers when necessary • strong analytical trend analysis skills & insights • the ability to work cross functionally, getting the best out of those around you, influence and work collaboratively

you'll get

· the opportunity to shape our emerging risks strategy

· to build on your technical knowledge in the innocent technical world

· variety – with some exciting projects as we continue to grow

· the chance to work with a whole bunch of great people both inside innocent and externally too

As well as the standard stuff you get for turning up for work, we have some great clubs, a free breakfast and as many smoothies as you can shake a stick at. Take a look at our reward page for more details.

If you think you have everything we're looking for and more, then we'd love to hear from you. You'll need to get your skates on though, as applications close on 23rd Feb.

Dolly Parton may have worked Nine to Five but you don't have to. We're open to a chat about flexible working. No promises, but we reckon that if it's good for you, then it's good for us.   We're all about building a workplace for the future here at innocent, we believe in equal opportunities and we celebrate diversity. We’re an inclusive workplace, where everyone is welcome, everyone can be natural, and be the best versions of themselves.   You’ll help us to keep doing business the right way – keeping innocent an inclusive and inspiring place to work, using our B Corp status to inspire wider change, and reinforcing our culture of staying little as we grow big.

Company

We want to create a business we can be proud of. So to make this happen, we need brilliant people who inspire and deliver change all around them. That's why we're always looking for talented, ambitious and altruistic folks to come and join us.

We think it's a great place to work and are lucky enough to have been nominated for a few awards to that effect. We've also won a few too, including the Times 100 Best Companies to Work For award, which sits proudly on our mantelpiece.

But if you don't have time to pop round and inspect our awards cabinet, why not watch this little film to see the people who work here tell it like it is.

Dolly Parton may have worked Nine to Five but you don’t have to. We’re all about being healthy and happy here at innocent so we’re open to a chat about flexible working. No promises, but we reckon that if it's good for you, then it's good for us.
