We are looking for Production Operatives to support us working on our food production lines and Logistics Operatives to join us in our warehouses.

Full training provided; no experience necessary although any previous production / factory / logistics experience is always helpful.

About you

If you're organised, efficient and driven then we need someone like you. You'll need to have the ability to work at pace and calm under pressure.

You'll also need to be capable of working 12-hour shifts in cold temperatures - woolly jumpers are welcome, all year round!

The team

With 25 nationalities and over 10 languages across our 4 sites, we are a diverse team of people and you'll be surrounded by a team of Managers, the majority of whom have started their career on the shop floor at NWF.

The job

You will be working in an FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods) 24hr production environment.

Lettuce likes to be cool so temperatures on average are 3°C - 5°C so it is cold, think what it would be like to work in a fridge!

You will be standing and on your feet for long periods of time with 3 x 30 minute breaks throughout your shift.

Covid update: All of our sites are Covid secure. We will provide you with PPE and there are plenty of hand sanitising stations.

You will be responsible for creating a variety fresh foods and meal solutions using salad ingredients. You'll do this by preparing raw product, washing, and compiling salad bags, bowls or Coleslaw.

Did you ever wonder how we seal those nice bags of lettuce? - You will get to work on different types of machinery that will enable you to make the best quality product for our customers. If you are eager to learn the whole process you may get to work in different areas of the factory where you will get involved in different stages of the production.

Hours are a mix of 2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights. Our employees love the benefit of our shift pattern - only working 14 days in a month.

Shift Pattern hours

Shift work - 7 shifts in every 14 days that involves 2 weeks on days, then 2 weeks on nights (12 hr shifts) e.g.



Days

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 6am - 6pm

Week 2: Only working on Wednesday and Thursday 6am - 6pm



Nights

Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 6pm - 6am

Week4: Only working on Wednesday and Thursday 6pm - 6am

Repeat back to days.

If you want to take 1 week off and you plan it right, you only need to use 2 days of leave to be off for a full week!

Some sites are 7-7.

Our Recruitment Process

Depending on the role, you may be invited to complete a short online recruitment testing session where we will review your maths, listening and literacy skills to ensure you meet the required level to perform the role (It's not as scary as it sounds, there's no algebra!).

If successful, you could then be invited to attend a work trial in the manufacturing site that you will work at.
