The business
We are working with a leading grower and packer of fresh produce, who are looking to recruit an experienced Customer-Facing Technical Manager to join the team. This is a new role for the business as it goes through a period of growth, and is certainly an exciting time to join this expanding team.

The role
You will the customer lead on all things technical, you will support the packhouse with QMS, leading the Packhouse team to ensure a clear understanding of customer technical requirements and ensure the product is compliant with legislation. Taking responsibility for the maintenance of an effective and structured microbiological and pesticide residue testing programme. You lead and drive the technical agenda and vision for the business.


The candidate
You will have significant experience of working within the fresh produce arena, preferably within soft and top fruit. You will have strong knowledge of UK food legislation, including level 3 HACCP. Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact face to face with customers, suppliers and growers.
Above all, you must be a bold and decisive technical leader. You should have the ability to influence both internally and externally at all levels across multiple functions and be commercially aware.
