As Technical Manager, you will lead the development of the site food safety culture as well as leading the company HACCP and Internal Audit Teams.
You will be responsible for the food safety and quality assurance standards of both the low-care and high-care production facilities, including the development and maintenance of company policies, maintaining the pest control programme, supplier and raw material approval and product testing.
- Maintain and review the company Food Safety Policy.
- Undertake internal audits against the Key Performance Indicators.
- Investigate and rectify any identified non-conformances.
- Carry out training of QC staff and Assistant Technical Manager as required.
- Oversee customer specification files, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Oversee and manage product testing schedules.
- Review and maintain the Company Quality Assurance Manual.
You will have a proven track record in QA/technical management within a food production environment together with excellent team leadership and motivational skills.
Ideally educated to a degree level in a food science or related subject, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate with people at all levels.
Additional desired qualifications include Food Safety, Food Hygiene, HACCP, Intern Auditor etc.
You will have a high level of initiative to be able to make prompt, clear decisions in a fast-paced environment. A driving licence is also required.
The Technical Manager job is based in the Kent / South East region and is paying c. £40,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.
