Packaging Development Manager

The Company.

With a rich history and longstanding reputation in the food industry, this business are market leaders in their sector, providing products to all the major retailers across the UK and Europe. 

The Role.

To provide packaging direction to the category teams and shape the category packaging development pipeline. Responsible for the development, trialling, and implementation of category packaging initiatives to meet company and category requirements across the business. Supporting the Head of Packaging across a broad and varied set of packaging initiatives, you will be responsible for the translation of category strategies into customer packaging innovation and development plans.

The Person.

The successful candidate is likely to possess five plus years’ experience in a management packaging development role within the FMCG sector. With a demonstrable ability to manage projects and an ability to problem solve and innovate, you will have a proven track record of successful packaging launches in the food sector, ideally within chilled products. With excellent presentation and communication skills and a visible passion and enthusiasm for achieving targets, objectives and driving continuous improvement, you will lead, manage and motivate a small team of packaging professionals across multiple sites within the UK. Flexibility to travel is essential to the success of this role.
