You will be working for a manufacturer of premium quality products which supplies throughout the UK as well as overseas. It is undergoing rapid expansion which is set to increase even more over the next few years. The job

Your core responsibility will be to ensure all materials are available according to planned production and all inbound delivery dates are accurate. Delivery statuses should be live, and all orders have a delivery week confirmed. All materials are to be set up on the MIS system with particular focus on ensuring all volumetrics are updated to ensure accurate inbound forecasts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all purchase orders are placed in line with supplier lead-times
  • Ensure delivery is received on time and in full
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure standards are met
  • Manage material shortages and communicate to all relevant stakeholders
  • Manage redundant stock
  • Manage international stock holding in line with forecasts

Your experience

You will possess good numeracy, communication, and IT skills (including Excel) plus good experience in material/supply chain planning, most preferably from food manufacturing or FMCG.

You will have experience liaising with suppliers and ideally an understanding of retailer and internal customer management. A strategic mindset is essential, and together with drive and determination, you will have the ability to think and be excited by implementing change.

The Material Controller job is based in Cambridgeshire and is paying £28,000 - £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.

The working hours are 40 hours per week, 8.00 am – 4.30 pm.
