Would you like to live 10 minutes from beautiful beaches and within an hour’s drive of the scenic Brecon Beacons? Are you an Operations Manager looking for an opportunity to make an impact on a forward-thinking FMCG manufacturer striving to become best in class? 

Our client is a well-established privately-owned food manufacturer founded in the UK with sites around the world, supplying high quality products globally. The site in West Wales has seen recent multi-million-pound investment and is going through an exciting period of reinvigoration as it strives towards best in class standards. This is a fantastic period to join the site leadership team, with several members who are new to the business, in its pursuit of continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence. The business invests in great people and values their skills, enthusiasm and original thinking. As such, the ideal candidate will have high potential to be a key part of the business’s succession planning.

As Site Operations Manager, reporting to the Site Factory Manager, you will be responsible for leading site production which operates 12-hour shifts, 365 days a year, with a team of circa 60 led by 4 shift managers. You will need to bring a high-level of energy, knowledge and experience to develop their dedicated manufacturing team to the next level, making it truly best in class. In addition to your exceptional communication, management and leadership skills, you will also drive compliance with agreed processes, quality and health and safety regulations. You will ensure factory operations run smoothly and foster a culture of continuous improvement whilst helping to implement new processes to drive improved performance against KPI’s.

Who we’re looking for?

•    Having gained experience in best-in-class FMCG manufacturing environments you will be a seasoned Operations/Factory/Production Manager proven in leading cultural change and improving operations to efficiently deliver right-first time, on time products to meet customer demand.
•    You will be a true champion of driving a quality and HSE culture.
•    You will be exemplary at deploying advanced continuous improvement and RCA techniques to deliver stretched performance targets, setting and leading a standards-driven culture.
