Ask anyone here at Burton’s Biscuit Company what we’re most passionate about and you’ll get the same answer from everyone – the baking of quality biscuits for the whole family to enjoy.

We’re the only major biscuit manufacturer in the UK to focus solely on biscuits and this dedication has helped us become one of the key players in the market.  We employ over 2,000 people around the UK, in three main manufacturing facilities in Llantarnam, Edinburgh and Blackpool, a chocolate refinery in Moreton and a central distribution hub in Liverpool.  Our head office is based in St. Albans and a subsidiary office is located in Blackpool.

Our forward-thinking strategy historically led to some impressive results with Burton’s Biscuit Company transforming its portfolio shape and profitability since 2009.

This led to the company being acquired by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in November 2013, as we continue to adapt to the demands of a challenging economic climate to become a more efficient and agile organisation.

We hope to accelerate our portfolio transformation and growth further by expanding into adjacent categories, new geographic territories and through synergistic bolt-on M&A.
