This is an excellent opportunity for an NPD Project Manager looking to broaden their horizons and enhance their skills within a fast-growing company.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity within a newly created team to lead a step change in the way Strategic Initiatives and Retailer Own Brand plans are built and delivered.  The role of Retailer Own Brand Project Manager will include supporting the development of the ROB long term plan, ensuring it complements the branded strategy with responsibility for leading and executing ROB new product initiatives.

Reporting to the Strategic Program Manager you’ll be supporting with the development and implementation of the Retail Own Brand strategy, managing key projects from the decision making stage all the way to launch.  You will work with internal teams and customers to ensure all the key milestones such as sample development, costings, packaging, product specifications, trials, etc. are completed, documented and agreed launch dates are met.  This will mean adeptly managing cross-functional teams within sales, NPD, technical, marketing and production as well as clearly communicating the project status at critical milestones with the customer.

You’ll need to be proactive and use your judgement on how to facilitate problem resolution as well as know when to escalate issues that may impact on the successful completion of projects. In addition, you will help to establish new ways of improving performance and maximising profitability of product portfolios.  You will also help identify existing range and recipe rationalisation options to simplify the operation and improve margin efficiencies. You’ll support the marketing and commercial teams with tenders and new business opportunities.

The Person

Suit a commercially savvy foodie with demonstrable product and project management skills (ideally within FMCG Brand and Retail Own Label).  You will have honed your ability to meticulously plan and prioritise your workload in line with your projects’ critical paths as well as influence key stakeholders at all levels to ensure delivery on time, in full.  You’ll have excellent attention to detail and a systematic approach to tasks with a drive for results and a high customer focus. 

Unquestionably, you will already be a passionate project manager with outstanding organisational skills. You’ll have top notch interpersonal and communicative ability, all the better to complement your capacity to influence key stakeholders.  Assertive and methodical in your approach you’ll also be able to wear many hats allowing you to be flexible and adaptive to changing situations with ease and finesse.

This is a flexible role where you will predominately work remotely with regular travel to company sites.
