Another fantastic opportunity has become available for my client based in Hertfordshire. They are searching for a new Stock Control Supervisor who has fantastic inventory and stock control experience.

Job Role
To deliver annual targets through the effective management of stock to maximise profit and minimise risk of write-off through effective stock governance.

• Ensure effective management of stock to support sales growth, enhance customer service and maximise profit whilst controlling stock within agreed parameters
• Create contingency plans to guarantee continued availability of stock to meet customer requirements
• Reconcile daily stock shortages against system stocks, investigating reasons for shortage via physical counts, goods in/goods out documentation and company transactions
• Work with the finance team to ensure overall stock value is in line with monthly and quarterly targets
• Manage all stock counts to ensure good practice is maintained and write-offs are within the agreed parameters
• Use daily controls to manage the QC and Damages areas to reduce write-off risk
• Implement daily/weekly/monthly stock reconciliations to ensure stock is controlled and reviewed with key stakeholders
• Focus on SKU management and reduction to ensure optimisation of product availability and write-off costs are minimised
• Manage SKU pricing on system to ensure all products are set against agreed price
• Ensure Purchase Orders are raised daily
• Manage the ordering of non-stock lines as requested by sales
• Manage the day-to-day stock adjustment in agreement with finance
• Manage the process of stock transfers between sites to ensure the right stock in the right depots
• Reset pricing from weekly Price Query sheet when required
• Manage the direct order confirmation process
• Engage with suppliers on stock related issues and respond to supplier queries promptly
• Oversee the inbound delivery schedule to ensure the availability of stock against sales demand
• Reconcile orders against Supplier PO’s and resolve any queries
• Review sales vs stock levels from reports and use a wide range of tools and techniques to analyse the issues to improve the management of inbound supplies and service to customers
• Build sound stock management principles and works with colleagues to develop appropriate stock management strategies to ensure continuous improvement
• Work with sales colleagues on opportunity management to ensure stock is available and delivered in a timely manner
• Challenge sales on non-stock items to ensure the right stock approach is taken to maximise sales revenues whilst minimising write-offs and maximising profit
• Challenge Supply Chain to ensure effective stock rotation and stock counts to support the above

Personal Profile
• Data analysis - demonstrable Excel ability & systems
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Project management experience
• Experience of handling multiple categories and sites
• FMCG experience (preferably Food)
• Experience of using SAP / ERP systems
• Forklift license is beneficial
