We have a fantastic opportunity for a commercially trained Business Client Manager to join the team and make a significant contribution to our commercial sales strategy. You will report to Head of sales driving commercial/sales relationships ensuring service agreements are implemented and new contracts are project managed from agreement to implementation. In addition, you will manage the budget process.
Key responsibilities will include being heavily involved in all commercial decision making, developing and building short, medium- and long-term forecasts, including organising and leading customer priorities. You will have full ownership of P&L’s. With the focus being on acting as the main business partner to a number of manufacturers who work with us on distribution and manufacturing support. An ability to recognise what other commercial services we can provide is essential.
You will have a strong business-related degree and a commercial FMCG background in sales, supply chain planning or customer service. An understanding of distribution services, and wholesaling in food or pharmaceuticals. Highly commercial with strong analytical skills and the ability to probe and analyse information. In addition, you will be a strong project manager and a change agent. Ideal candidates will have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and recognise how analysis can improve efficiency and profitability. Contract negotiation experience in distribution, manufacturing or in a business to business contract negotiation is important.
