Brand Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Brand Manager to join our expanding business in a newly created role.

This role would suit someone that has previous brand management experience - maybe as a Brand Assistant with marketing / media experience and looking for the next step in their career.

We are one of the largest employers in the Chichester area, with 4 sites employing more than 1,200 talented individuals. Local travel between our 3 sites on the Chichester Food Park and Selsey will be required on occasion.

A day in the life of a Brand Manager:

We make delicious salad meals, coleslaw, potato salad, bagged salads and leafy salad bowls. Our products are stocked by leading Retail supermarkets & restaurant chains and consumed by millions of customers in the UK, so you may well have eaten something made by us!

You will be spending approximately 3 days per week focussing on Brands and 2 days per week on internal communications.

You will be our Social Media ambassador, looking after our branded products, corporate brand and marketing. This will involve creating videos, designing content, creating adverts and competitions and giveaways. You will also manage influencers and ensure we have active campaigns.

Other responsibilities include brand creation and design, brand activation and marketing.

The internal comms element will involve really getting to know and understand our business, working with different people at all levels across the business to share content, updates and work on different campaigns.

Here's a bit more detail:
  • Supporting Head of Food with creation of the Brand strategy & 3 year plan
  • Supporting Head of Communications with implement of Corporate Comms Strategy
  • Ownership and agency relationships
  • Building strong relationships with and presenting to the Executive team
  • Working across a number of cross-functional teams and agencies, from brief to post-evaluation.
  • Implementation of Brand Strategy
  • Contributes to the delivery of NWF sales, profit and brand share objectives
  • Management of direct marketing expenditure with agreed budget expectations
  • Working with the category and insight team to identify innovation pipelines, new brand propositions and brand extensions
  • Responsible for developing and managing the brand creative
  • Leading the development and delivery of ATL and BTL integrated marketing campaigns (and assets) across Nature Ways Food Branded portfolio
  • Owns the management of the online presence for NWF brands
  • Shaping and implementing the branded social media and PR strategy
  • Support the Head of Communications with deployment of content across our corporate digital platforms
  • Support the Head of Communications with organised staff and community events


Covid update: We can carry out video interviews and all of our sites are Covid secure.

Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday - Friday - 1 hour for lunch. This role will mainly be office based with potential for 1 day work from home.

This is a permanent role.



About you:
  • Experience as a Brand Assistant / some previous Brand Management experience
  • Excellent social media skills
  • Creative and able to design and create engaging content
  • Natural communicator with the ability to tell the story and influence people
  • Passion, drive and sparkle!
  • Problem solving skills
  • Resilience and ability to manage a changing and varied workload
