We are seeking a talented individual to work for an innovative, high quality manufacturer which supplies to various retailers throughout the UK.

The job

The Customer Service & Forecasting Assistant is a very customer facing and relationship building role where you will be the key link between future customer demand and the company forecasting system.

The aim of your role is to ensure accurate and regular customer demand data for their future stock requirement is obtained and uploaded to the forecasting software (Forecast Pro).

Other duties:

  • Ensure forecast data for special customer events is obtained such as customer launch volumes (where relevant), subsequent sales, promotions, and seasonal trends.
  • Obtain customer feedback data including satisfaction levels for service areas such as deliveries, pricing, speed, customer service levels and complaint handling.
  • Amend customer orders in real-time in response to forecast or demand variances.
  • Build strong and robust communication channels and relationships with customers, this may include customer visits.
  • Preparing reports and presenting during customer meetings if required.

Your experience

Previous experience in a customer-focused role within a multi-SKU business is ideal (preferably food manufacturing) together with working knowledge of sales and production processes. This background could perhaps be from a sales or customer service role where you have frequent customer contact and handle/process data.

A high level of accuracy and strong IT skills are essential including Excel, databases and ideally SOP and forecast software (Forecast Pro or similar).

You will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written & verbal), be able to multi-task effectively and have strong organisational skills.
