The Bramble Foods Group is a fine food wholesaler and manufacturer offering the independent retailer a fantastic choice of over 1,500 high quality, premium preserves, marmalades, honey, chutneys, condiments, sauces, pickles, cakes, biscuits, snacks, gift boxes, hampers and confectionery.

This new position has been created due to the expansion and growth within the Bramble Foods Group.  Reporting directly into the Technical Manager, this wide-ranging role will allow the candidate a full and broad spectrum of the technical side of both businesses and will have interactions with all aspects of the business including production, purchasing and sales. 

Personal Profile

  • Ideally hold a degree in a food or science related subject or have a minimum of 2 years previous quality experience within the food industry
  • Flexibility to work over 2 sites in Market Harborough (own transport required)
  • Enthusiastic, has attention to detail, organised and hard working with a proactive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literate using MS Office
  • Able to work a minimum of 4 Saturday mornings during our busy seasonal period September - November

Key Responsibilities

  • Writing internal and customer specifications
  • Updating recipe sheets and other production documents
  • Maintaining the supplier approval and requesting documents from suppliers
  • Running internal taste panels
  • Aid the Technical Manager in maintaining the SALSA standard on both sites
  • Creating and checking new labels for products
  • Conducting traceability exercises

Salary: £18k - £22k depending on experience
