Working as part of our maintenance and engineering department, you will help shape and drive initiatives to support our troubleshooting team as well as maintain the “state of the art” production facilities.
The ideal applicant will be someone who thrives as a hands-on collaborative engineer and is confident in providing engineering expertise, the best practical & theoretical knowledge, and understanding of requirements within the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will come from a fast-moving background but this is by no means a necessity and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time-served engineer with multi-skilling, and have experience within an automated manufacturing environment, as there are PLC’s on site.
To maintain all manufacturing plants, equipment, and facilities in good working order. Improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the meantime to repair (MTTR).
Essential skills & Experience
- Previous food processing industry experience is an advantage but not essential
- City and Guilds 17th/18th Edition
- Electrical experience: electrical qualifications/time served apprenticeship.
- Minimum 3 Years’ experience working in an automated production environment.
- Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
- Data and analytical skills
- Computer literate (word/excel/windows-based packages)
· PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control, instrumentation, welding, FLT license, Lean experience.
