About Our Client
Our client is a growing specialist in the food safety and testing sector. They supply a variety of food manufacturing and processing businesses with food analytics and safety testing. They ensure that the food we eat and supplied to supermarkets is safe to eat and free from pesticides, salmonella, norovirus, parasites, yeasts, moulds and other microbial hazards. They play a vital role in keeping our food safe and adding value to the food manufacturers, food retailers and consumers. They have invested in state of the art technologies to offer ultra-efficient and safest services possible.

About the Role

You will travel to customers (when allowed/required post covid) to build rapport and relationships and present the technical benefits for the array of testing services on offer. You will liaise with the internal teams to ensure new contracts start and land as expected before full handover to the customer service/account management team. This role is 100% business development led.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a technical sales background in the food industry. You will understand the potential impact on a business should these tests go awry, as well as the benefits and value they add to a business. You will have been in a business development role in the past and get a real buzz for delivering a new contract. You will be driven and self-motivated, with a can-do attitude. You will be comfortable presenting to a range of food manufacturing and processing businesses to gain sales. Ideally, you will have an understanding of microbial hazards.
