This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a branded, fresh foods supplier which is part of a large international group.

The job

The purpose of the NPD Process Technologist is to support the development of new and existing products and the NPD process.

Core duties:

• Manage new raw material trials through the factory process, reporting results following shelf life and product evaluation.
• Support and manage the transition of new products to the factory / industrial scale.
• Monitor products after launching following factory processes in place.

Your experience

This role would suit a recent food science, nutrition, or food technology graduate who is looking to gain valuable food product development experience with one of the UK’s leading fresh foods producer.

Any previous food NPD experience would be a benefit such as from a university placement. Strong communication skills are essential as this role will offer the opportunity to liaise with multiple business departments.

You will be highly organised, have good IT skills plus excellent attention to detail - a passion for food is essential! Basic Food Hygiene certificate is also an advantage.

The NPD Process Technologist job is based in the West Midlands region and is paying c. £23,000.

The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. However, some flexibility will be required i.e. to run production trials.

This is a contract position with a duration of approximately 5 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain some solid food product development experience.
