We're looking for a talented Quality Assurance Manager at our Leeds production facility.

We'd like to recruit someone who holds a food related qualification, HNC/HND/Degree in Food Science or equivalent and HACCP and Food Safety Level 4 qualifications, and who can demonstrate a good knowledge of the food industry and a thorough understanding of high care operation.

The Role:

As Quality Assurance Manager you would report to the Regional Technical Manager and will have direct responsibility for food safety and quality standards across the Leeds production facility.

You will lead and motivate a small but effective QA team that is heavily involved with day to day factory floor operations across low risk and high care areas, leading audits, implementing quality procedures and ensuring high standards are maintained and current site systems are challenged and developed. You will be expected to build strong relationships across the site and work closely with technical teams within the region.

The role will involve occasional travel to other sites, therefore a full clean driving licence is essential.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Quality Assurance Manager role will have relevant experience of providing leadership within a similar quality assurance role, with experience of the BRC Standard and quality management systems within food manufacturing.

In addition, it's essential that you possess the following:

- HACCP or CIEH level 3, plus an Internal audit qualification

- A thorough knowledge of the food industry and a good understanding of high care operations

- Experience managing teams, building team capability and motivating your people to bring their best every day

You're able to use your fantastic IT and numeric skills to evaluate information, make data driven decisions and present your findings in a format that stakeholders from a variety of different backgrounds can relate to.

The Package:

Basic salary:  £32,500 - £36,500 per annum for the ideal candidate
