Quality Controller

Here at Zest Recruitment we are currently looking for a number of Quality Controller's. We are looking for candidates who have experience with working within a food manufacturer and ideally experience with working with fresh produce. This company is one of the leading fresh produce company within Kent. They source various produce from around the globe and are well known for providing their clients a fantastic service from start to finish. They pride themselves on the quality of their range. For an employer they are very good for investing time and money into the training for all employees.

The Quality Controller's key responsibilities will be:
*Ensure that all arrivals are inspected as per the relevant intake protocol.
*Ensure that all aspects of product quality are accurately reported to the customer and the business.
*Ensure that any temperature abuse, contamination (foreign bodies and odours) or other issues that affect product quality are immediately reported to the customer.
*Effectively communicate and work with customer product managers,
*Effectively communicate and work with Operations teams (warehouse and production).
*To work safely and report any hazards or near misses to your manager.
*To work efficiently and effectively ensuring that quality service level targets are met.
*To maintain high levels of hygiene and housekeeping through the clean as you go policy.
*Effectively communicate and work with your colleagues to ensure you have the resources to complete work.

Experience you will need:
*Experience working within a food manufacturing environment
*Ideally experience working with fresh produce
*Experience with checking products
