QA Manager

Working for this progressive food business who produce a range of high-quality food and drink products, you will be responsible for the management, implementation, supervision and maintenance of Quality and Food Safety systems and documentation. This will involve ensuring that all system are adhered to and that up to date documentation is in place to cover all operations affecting safety, legality and quality of the product.

Key Responsibilities.

• Managing the day-to-day activities of the QA team on site.
• Review QAS documents and update if required
• Maintaining Internal Auditing
• Maintain supplier approval list of raw material and raw material specifications
• Maintain customer specifications (online portals and in our own format)
• Support customers with their requests
• Liaising with customers on quality issues and co-ordinating customer visits / audits
• Proactively communicating information to the business on technical performance
• Maintain micro-Schedule, send samples collected by QA, trend analyse and update results
• Maintain Complaint spreadsheet and ensure all investigations are completed
• Managing, maintaining, and implementing customer standards
• Managing label and artwork approval

Personal Profile.

• Degree in Food Science/Food Technology essential
• HACCP Level 2 or more
• Food Safety Level 3 or more
• Allergen Awareness course/training
• Labelling training/course
• Internal Auditor (minimum one day course)
• Word, Excel, Power Point – required good knowledge
• Min. 3 years’ experience in manufacturing
• Desirable – experience in working with retailers
• Desirable – risk assessment of supplier, good knowledge of VACCP requirements
