The job

This is an exciting time to join the team as the business is experiencing considerable success and growth and have been heavily investing in the staff, equipment, and infrastructure of their sites.

The purpose of the role is to maintain and extend a high level of awareness of current food legislation, related issues, and likely developments in food legislation in the German-speaking markets plus provide support outside these geographic regions as required.

Core duties:

  • Answer questions from members, other clients and colleagues on the content, application, and interpretation of food legislation.
  • Develop and contribute to Regulatory publications and training events.
  • Initiate new business and deliver contract services on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of research projects.
  • Recommend and implement change in services, products, and systems.
  • Develop self to enhance performance and professionalism.

Your experience

To be considered for the Food Law Advisor role, you will be educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant science, law or related subject and possess knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, enforcement or policy setting.

You will be a confident communicator, have good report writing and presentation skills and a full UK valid driving licence is also required due to site location.

Fluency in German language is also essential.

More details

The Food Law Advisor job is based in the South East region and is paying £25,000 - £32,000 according to skills and experience. The role can be mainly home-based, visiting the office 1-2 times per week.

The package also includes a company pension scheme, 24 days annual leave plus public holidays, holiday buying/selling scheme, health scheme, death in service and onsite parking.
