This Packaging Engineer/Technologist position will lead delivery and technical project management of packaging projects. It will focus upon structural design and build of concepts, working end to end from marketing brief through to production. You'll be operating in a matrix environment here so will lead technical projects through engaging with stakeholders across the business and externally with 3rd parties.

You'll be joining a successful business that really invests, particularly into R&D. The company has a strong heritage with real brand loyalty for its premium products. It's an agile environment that encourages innovation and has a real focus on sustainability.

You'll be working to briefs, developing packaging concepts then working with the process team to take to successful launch. This will involve time at site, particularly when projects are at lab work and trial stage. There is flexibility for home-working too.

To succeed in the role, you'll have good working knowledge of rigid packaging items and their materials and manufacturing processes, ideally with 3D CAD experience. Keeping up to date with the latest trends and packaging technologies will be natural to you.

You might be currently working in a similar Packaging role within FMCG or be working for a Packaging manufacturer or Design agency. You'll be a mechanically minded, used to working from concept through prototyping to launch.
