This is a great opportunity to work for a well-established company, with an ever-expanding range of global products. They are now seeking a Process Technician to join their growing R&D Team.
This is a newly created role where you will be the key link between R&D and the manufacturing teams. Your main focus will be to ensure the consistent achievement of process capability as well product key quality attributes for the introduction of new product, technologies and changes to existing products. You will provide expertise of the manufacturing processes and the influence of product changes to performance.
You will take a lead role in line trials and validation for new products as well as changes to existing ones. Input on process design and development, support with commissioning new equipment and continuous improvement initiatives are also a key part of the role where you will work closely with the engineering and CI teams.
You will also work closely with the Product Assurance teams to set best practice for product validation and verification through test method and test equipment.
This role would suit a motivated and ambitious science or engineering graduate with experience of working within a manufacturing or R&D environment.
Conducting line trials, analysing data and working as part of a product qualification team is essential. Your experience would ideally be from within the food & drink sector but other scientific product sectors will be considered too.
You must have working knowledge of tools to drive product and process capability improvement such as Practical Statistics, 6 Sigma toolbox, DoE tools.
As well as outstanding attention to detail, analytical and reporting skills you will be able to utilise your interpersonal skills to form strong relationships and build networks with internal teams and suppliers. In addition, it is also vital that you possess an excellent level of IT literacy.
