The role

Excellent opportunity to join a food business who are leaders in what they do and are a global player

Job Purpose

  • To manage supplier approval and raw material risk assessment activities and maintain supplier and raw material information up to date
  • To provide technical support for customer’s queries as required

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Carry out supplier approval and management to ensure food safety, legality and specific customer requirements are met, and accurate information regarding supply of product to business is maintained
  •  Manage raw material and packaging risk assessments and maintain approved supplier database including approved raw material, packaging and services suppliers list and supporting reference files. 
  • Provide technical support to enable the business to meet food safety, legality and specific customer requirements 
  • Drive the company and customers’ Ethical Trade Policy and standards across the business supply base and ensure Sedex data base is maintained and up to date. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience from a technical based role within food manufacturing 
  • A food based qualification 
  • Good understanding of spoken and written English, particularly relevant terms
  • Good team working skills and able to communicate confidently 
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
