This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a genuine passion for manufacturing and sourcing suppliers for innovative high end food and non food products. Due to growth they are looking for an experienced Buyer to lead our growing business in our partnerships with Suppliers and source new supplier partners.

You'll be responsible for sourcing, building, maintaining, and developing supplier relationships with manufacturing partners within the UK and Europe in line with the company supplier strategy.

Managing and growing existing partnerships and those strategic supplier relationships that are integral to the business.

Responsibilities Include

• Supporting the Buying Manager in building and driving global supplier strategy
• Sourcing and engaging new manufacturing partners in both the UK and Europe.
• Visits to supplier's factories to develop relationships
• Negotiate contract, price and terms with manufacturing partners
• Assess market in line with business strategy and make recommendations
• Managing new suppliers, onboard them and ensure KPIs are measured
• Assess capacity and efficiency of suppliers to meet customer expectations
• Increasing value delivered from our UK and European suppliers using a "win/win" approach

Candidate will need at least 3 year' experience within a buying or supply chain role within FMCG products, and ideally have a good understanding of the food manufacturing sector. You'll need experience of sourcing new products, manufacturers and suppliers with the ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent communication and negotiation skills will be a given along with a genuine passion for buying.

This role offers real flexibility in location. The Head Office is South West based and there would be the expectations for you to be there on a monthly basis. You must be happy to travel on a regular basis both in the UK and overseas.
