This entrepreneurial business supply a food, household, health & beauty products to the major high street retailers in UK and globally. They are now seeking a Buyer to lead their growing business in their partnerships with existing and new suppliers.
In this key role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing, building, maintaining, and developing supplier relationships with manufacturing partners within the UK and Europe in line with the company supplier strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing and engaging new manufacturing partners in FMCG food and non-food categories within given time frames and developing good working relationships
- Negotiating contract, price and terms with manufacturing partners
- Assessing market in line with business strategy and providing ideas for process improvements
- Assessing capacity and efficiency of suppliers to continuously meet customer expectations
Suit a Procurement expert with commercial acumen and a proven track record of achieving excellent results within the food manufacturing industry, a good understanding of the food supplier landscape would be advantageous. You will be an organised and determined individual with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
With confident communication skills, you’ll adeptly network and negotiate with suppliers in an engaging way. Highly numerate and literate, you’ll be able to use acute analytical skills to drive business forward.
