You will be working for a leading food business which supplies major UK retailers, foodservice and food manufacturing industries.

The job

As Packaging Coordinator, you will ensure that all product packaging is safe, legal, and meets agreed quality criteria within the technical specification. The role provides excellent opportunity to work with the major UK retailers.

Core duties:

• Project management including running of the weekly customer project meetings.
• Ensure the accurate reporting and completion of all customer packaging requirements.
• Ensure that specification produced by the Specification Technologists is accurately reproduced on the packaging.
• Involvement in company-wide packaging improvement/reduction projects.
• Build successful relationships with customers; suppliers; artwork houses; printers.
• Trafficking of artwork between customer and suppliers to ensure projects adhere to the critical path.
• Creation of artwork and use of software, if applicable, for tertiary brands.

Your experience

To be considered for the Packaging Coordinator job, you ideally will be educated to a degree / HND level in a food related discipline, and possess food manufacturing technical, specifications, packaging or related experience, either from a university placement or full-time role.

Previous experience could be within FMCG, pharmaceutical, other products packaging or most ideally food or beverages manufacturing.

You will possess excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with suppliers and customer including major UK retailers.

To succeed, you will be highly organised, have fantastic attention to detail and be IT literate. Knowledge of or qualifications of Art related software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a benefit.

A driving licence will also be beneficial.

The Packaging Coordinator job is based in Suffolk and is paying £23,000 - £28,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours and will be a permanently working between both at home (3 days) and the office (2 days).
