Finance Director | Spalding

As part of an international agriculture group, our client is a well-established, household name, they have experienced significant growth in recent years, and they aren't planning on slowing down. They have some truly first-class products and are an integral partner to a number of the best UK supermarkets.

About the Job

Reporting into and working closely with the CEO and the Group Board, the Finance Director's role is to provide financial leadership and work with the board to ensure the company continues to grow and progress. Are you excited about providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met? This role will lead the financial team and sit in a board seat.

The role is not only about accounting. As part of a collaborative team, you'll be expected to seek out opportunities for continuous improvement and lean initiatives in all areas of the business. As FD you'll be expected to help beat the budget, work with some excellent suppliers and assist in the business goals of zero waste and being a bastion for environmental best practice. You should be interested and excited by a role that has the artistic license to interrogate the information you have and find opportunities and marginal gains throughout.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be professionally qualified with leadership experience. As well as experience within the food or FMCG industry, you should be able to demonstrate significant achievements in a similar role. This isn't a role for someone taking their first FD appointment. As this role also comes with some responsibilities as company secretary, so experience dealing with corporate governance and regulations as well as experience dealing with 3rd parties such insurers, banks, solicitors etc would be a big advantage.
