Assistant Technical Manager

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as an Assistant Technical Manager in a brand new role for the company. The company has recently gone into the retail market which has seen sales rise significantly and has now led to the business needing a new Technical expert who has experience in working with the retailers, ideally M&S and Waitrose.

- You will have a team of 6 underneath you so previous people management is essential to be successful in this role.

- You will monitor your teams performance, holding monthly and annual appraisals with your team looking at ways to improve them.

- You will deal with all BRC, customer, factory and all other company audits.

- You will ensure that all suppliers are approved and all documents are up to date.

- You will monitor HACCP controls to ensure that all CCP's are met/

- This role will also test your knowledge of technical improvements as you will be required to look at ways to improve technical procedures, improve food safety and to improve the overall quality of all products.

In order to be considered for this role you will need to:

- Have over 3 years experience working in the food industry ideally as a Quality Manager or something similar.

- Have previous auditing experience and have HACCP Level 3

- A degree in food science or a similar degree
