This continually growing chilled manufacturer are leading the way in their competitive category supplying innovative products to the major UK retailers. They are now seeking a Graduate NPD Technologist to support their current and future plans.
Reporting to the NPD Manager you’ll be instrumental in the development of existing products adapting them in accordance with current trends as well as supporting development chefs with creating new concepts with that competitive edge. You’ll also be generating cooking guidelines, writing internal recipes & costings and support the creation of product specifications. Using your commercial awareness you will be up to date with the latest food craze impressing customers with your industry and recipe knowledge whilst identifying potential opportunities for business growth.
In addition, you’ll liaise with raw material suppliers, ingredients and packaging, to keep on top of latest market innovations.
We are looking for an ambitious food science graduate who has some concept development experience within a food manufacturing environment. Ideally chilled product experience would be good but not essential.
However, you will need to have a real thirst to learn and drive your career forward with an enthusiastic, resourceful & proactive nature.
You’ll need to be confident and foodie with great organisation and project management skills in order to help create and launch successful products into the market place. You’ll also need to have good presentation skills well as first class communication skills as you’ll be liaising with internal teams, customers and suppliers.
