This international start-up is now building their London Innovations Team and looking for an NPD star who can help support their expansion plans. With a focus on fresh, healthy and nutritious products at the premium end of the market, the business has a big vision with exciting growth plans. They have already made a huge impact since they launched their brand and with dedicated consumers craving more innovative products they need a talented foodie to join the team.
This is a highly desirable position in which you will build a strong knowledge of how the business works as a whole, broadening your NPD repertoire and working collaboratively with a team who are as passionate about healthy, quality food and flavours as you are.
As a major player in the Food Team you’ll report to the Head of Food and manage the development process for this adventurous and innovative brand. No two days will ever be the same as you take ownership of NPD projects from ideation stage all the way through to product launch. You will be involved in all aspects of NPD from recipe development, costings, nutritionals, researching & reporting food trends, food trawls, measuring product performance, finding packaging solutions, working with overseas suppliers and ensuring a smooth product launch.
A key part of the role will be hands on recipe development where you will be creating culinary delights in the Innovations Kitchen. Your new dishes will be in line with the food strategy for a monthly launch cycle and you will also analyse customer feedback to identify trends for recipe re-development. You’ll be involved with short and long term NPD project initiatives, presenting ideas to key stakeholders and the senior team.
You will work closely with the manufacturing team based in the USA and be running pre-trial briefings and post-trial product reviews to ensure the production team are fully trained on the new products being launched each month. You will need to build strong and collaborative relationships, working cross-functionally to make things happen.
This role will be based in London but there will be occasional travel to the USA so you’ll need to be flexible and happy to be where you’re needed.
We’re looking for a stand-out Food Developer who has experience of creating great tasting products with proven NPD successes, can hold their own when it comes to recipe development and be able to demonstrate expertise in launching great products.
You must have an exceptional palate, really understand flavour profiles and how to translate the food people love and make it a whole lot better. The ideal candidate will have a culinary background, some restaurant experience and have made the transition into an NPD role, gaining food science qualifications along the way. Or a food graduate with exceptional culinary skills and extensive food knowledge across multiple cuisines. Experience will have been gained within food from either a manufacturing, brand or retail environment.
You’ll need to have heaps of energy, enthusiasm and the ability to spot an opportunity and seize it. Whilst having the adaptability and drive to easily pick up, prioritise and manage projects, you’ll also be a natural organiser with exceptional planning skills.
The role will change quickly so we’re looking for candidates that can thrive in an evolving entrepreneurial environment, being happy to get involved in doing basic jobs when needed and taking a step up as the team expands.
If you’re ready and talented enough to go on the journey with this growing food brand, we would love to hear from you. Apply now or get in touch with Dhrutee to find out more – Tel: 0345 2600 737 or email us at, email@example.com.
